Otero College's Softball team faced challenging games against Odessa and Temple on February 21st and 22nd, in Odessa, Texas. Unfortunately, Otero College fell in each encounter.  Odessa won both games against the Rattler team with scores of 8-0 and 16-1.  Otero vs Temple 2 game weekend resulted in the same scores, 8-0 and 16-1 in Temple's favor.
In their matchups, a standout moment came when Mariah Johnson hit a home run in the fourth inning against Odessa, marking a high point for Otero College. The aggressive plays by both Marissa West and Anna Barraza, who had multiple hits against Temple, were also key moments despite the outcomes. The starting pitchers for Otero College were Destiny Martinez and Keira Gray.
Looking ahead, the Rattlers hope to turn their luck around in the next game scheduled for February 28 on their home ground, Tippy Martinez Field. They will face Wayland Baptist.
